Hi All

Thanks Beachcomber, for the confirmation in your first paragraph, that my recent efforts to pay the taxes were on the right lines - For some obscure reason, I'll sleep easier knowing that, and hope that the Spanish Government appreciate my couple of hundred euros!

This Forum is tremendous! Keep up the good work, you gurus!

Oh dear - looks like I will have to bite the bullet and wade through Beachcombers excellent instructions as I did when I originally filled in the 'old' 210 form every September. With my windows 7 on a decent laptop, a stiff drink beforehand, ten minutes meditation then an afternoons concentration - and I may crack it! I can't face it just now - - - -

Thank you Beachcomber. I will follow your advise and try the Tax Office next time I am in Spain.
NB. Yes, I do also file a tax return for the unrented period. Thank you again.

Bob, make sure you guard the receipted out of date 210 with your life because it is very unlikely that your payment for 2011 will have been recorded on the AEAT computer system.

Hello Beachcomber-
I'm in the USA and would like to know if and how can I file the Form 210 over the internet. Last year I was in Spain so I just went to the bank with the completed forms. This year I probably will not make it due to family illness. I have a bank account in Spain, so paying the tax is no problem.
Incidentally I want to thank you for you instructions. They were concise and easy to follow.

I'm not Beachcomber, but I can tell you that you can pay online, but you need to have a digital signature. Getting one is fairly straightforward, but you do have to be in Spain to be 'verified'.

I'm sure Beach will be along shortly and may be able to suggest another route.. :D

I didn't need to complete a 210 in December as no tenants.

I do now but when i got the 210 page and click

Formulario (devengos a partir de 1 de enero de 2011)Nueva ventana. Información contenida en la Sede Electrónica de la Agencia Tributaria

All I get is the page that you should get at the end of the process - in other words the page that ends

Validar y generar PDF.

Sorry if this has been asked earlier. Using palemoon 12.3

Hi ashtondav,

Do the about:config as per FAQ's for Firefox and you're good to go.

Follow these instructions EXACTLY.

Type about:config into the address bar.

If you get a warning message about dragons click on "I'll be careful, I promise"

In the box marked 'Search' (formerly entitled 'Filter') type signed

You should see the following single parameter:

signed.applets.codebase_principal_support...... user set..... boolean..... false

Double click this entry so that 'false' changes to 'true'

Exit this screen by clicking on the 'X' in the top right hand corner of the screen.

Try the form 210 again.

Is anyone having error 0115 using MacOSX10 with Firefox.
I have done the ‘about:config’ in the address bar and had no trouble the last 2 years.
I always use the ‘English’ form as my Spanish is not up to scratch.
Is it just possible the Spanish tax site is having problems at present???

Hi alecd,
You probably have "upgraded" Firefox since last year..............so get a copy of the version that was around then. Uninstall/remove current version.

Its been the same on Windows OS, I've recommended members keep a copy that works with Form 210.
Using the latest version for day to day surfing when Form 210 completed.......... :D

We also need to submit a 210 sometime this year. We're coming over for a few months in the summer so I thought I'd get it done and pay at bank whilst we're there. We bought our house in October 2012.
I've looked at the form and Beachcomber's helpful procedure and it seems straightforward enough.
However, I'd like to ask a few questions
1) As first time payers it looks like we need to register with the tax authorites before we fill out forms and submit for payment at bank. If so, is there a form that you use to do this? Is it 030?
2) Maybe I'm blind but I can't see a box marked 04 on the form that Beachcomber links to (where you put CV times 1,1%) or maybe the real online form will have this box once I pull it up from the AT site?
3) I presume we only need to pay imputed tax for the last quarter of 2012. How do I do this? Is it by selecting 4Q instead of OA in the period box?
Hopefully you experts can put us right on this.
Thanks.

It is form 030 but you need to present your NIE numbers and passports at the tax office. It is best to let them fill in the form. Also ask for labels. You do not need them for the form but they show your 'anagrama' which will be required by the bank if the bar codes on the forms do not work. You should have been registered in order to pay the transfer taxes at the time of purchase but this is not always the case.

The link in the FAQ is to the real form but you will not see box 04 until you make the selection under '02 Tipo de Renta'.

You make the declaration for the whole year (0A) but in order to pay the correct amount of tax during the year of purchase you make a calculation pro rata to the number of days you owned the property during that year - ie:

Box 4 = valor catastral x 1,1% divided by 366 multiplied by number of days owned.

Don't forget to divide the figure for box 4 by 2 if the property is jointly owned by two people

Can you not use Firefox again or Pale Moon or even Chrome? I wouldn't even have Internet Explorer on my computer if it wasn't for the fact that it is installed with Windows.

I have tried with Firefox. It lets me complete the whole of the form but then comes up with error 015
