Beachcomber wrote:The 'año val 2018' refers to the year for which the IBI is being paid, ie 2018, and the 'año rev 2005' refers to the year of the last revision. So, yes, it is 2%.

You can double check here:

http://www.catastro.meh.es/esp/ponencia_valores.asp

Just enter the details as requested leaving 'Año ponencia' as 'Todos los años' then click on 'Consultar'

The year we are looking for is listed under 'Año efecto'
When looking up this for Fuengirola and Mijas the years are 2005 and 2004 respectivelly. Does this mean that all owners in these municipalities have to use 2%? What about estates that are built after these years?

Yes, 2% for both of these municipalities. It depends on the date of the last municipal revision not the date of construction.

Hello, and apologies if this is one that has been answered. Filling in a 210 for the first time myself, previous ones having been done by an asesoria. I have read the "how to" here and the official advice page, but not all 62 pages of this thread, I confess.

As Beachcomber predicted, 'Validate and Generate pdf' produced an error message, but not the one that I was expecting; it didn't like what I had filled in as my NIF right at the start. I input my NIE, which is of the type X1234567X. This is what appears in the NIF section of all the 210s previously carried out by the asesoria, so I couldn't see why that was wrong. Hovering over the '?', though, tells me it expects NIF: 8 numbers, 1 letter. Of course, my NIE is 7 numbers, 2 letters. I tried changing the currency code from € to £ (thought I'd stay € as previously) with no effect. The only difference from the asesoria's forms is that his representante details (his NIF was also a NIE in the same format) have been replaced by mine.

Clicking on the box "If you are a taxpayerand do not have an NIF tax code..." opened a new tab called "Allocation of non-resident Identification Code" which I highly suspect would be used to generate a NIE, which I already have. I thought I'd better ask here before doing anything silly.

I do apologise if this is a rolleyes question that comes up a lot. I had a look at the start of this thread, and the last couple of pages, to see if there's been a recent change. Maybe I missed what I'm obviously doing wrong. Many thanks for any pointer, and I promise to slap myself if it's obvious.

Extra info: I have applied for, but not received yet, a dig sig. I was just going to print and take to Cajasur. The IBAN and all details (I know what tax I was expecting and the number matched) seem to be correct

It sounds as though you have entered your name as your own representative. This is not necessary but I don't know if it the cause of your error. Your NIE format is correct. What does the error message say? Also, make sure you check , 'Contribuiente' rather than 'Representante'.

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, I checked the taxpayer - not the representative box, and deleted the "legal/voluntary" part. I filled in the rep section to give my apto address and details as an ES point of contact, as I'm here regularly, but I could delete that NIE box as it's not necessary. Asking to generate the pdf gets me this:

Errores detectados:

Pagina 01: Error en Representante del contribuyente. N.I.F.-. Campo incorrecto.

hmm,I deleted my NIE from the representative section, which slightly changed the message:

Errores detectados:

Pagina 01: Error en Representante del contribuyente. N.I.F.-. Campo obligatorio.

and I tried lower case letters but it just automatically capitalizes them.

BINGO!

Deleting my name AND nie from the representative section, but just leaving the address and contact numbers as contact points, generated the pdf.

So there you go - don't name yourself as a rep or it'll jam up the system.
Thanks for the walkthroughs, Beachcomber - if I hadn't tried that off-the-cuff alteration to your advice, it would likely have sailed through 1st time

Edit: didn't see the wood for the trees: It was clearly unhappy with the REP's NIE - presumably because it was the same as the taxpayer (ie, me)

I had assumed that you would delete your NIE as well. Sorry I did not make that clear.

Don't apol - really helpful to have your input. I did delete the NIE first, still leaving my name there (for any mail) but it didn't like that and I got that 2nd error message. Leaving the person details completely blank and just having the Spanish home address (basically - exactly what you described in your "how to" thread) causes no problems.

I'm glad you got there in the end.

Just a reminder that the form 210 has changed for this fiscal year (declarations for imputed tax to be made from 1st January 2019 onwards). The headings are the same but the way in which it is submitted is slightly different as is the method of saving and retrieving the declaration.

I was going to incorporate the changes into the existing FAQ but as the old form will still need to be used for declarations for 2017 and previous, and as those instructions will need to be left in place, it got a little complicated so I have decided to duplicate the the whole post with separate instructions for 2018 and onwards.

I will make it quite clear in the title of each post which is which in an attempt to avoid confusion.

I am biting the bullet & starting my 210 for y/e 2017- I followed the link from the FAQ, and have what appears to be the correct page. However, previouly there was a Box 4 where you entered the base imponible, & I can't see it anywhere - have they done away with it ? I'm also a bit confused as to which boxes should be used for the rest of the figures; and where, if at all, I should put the Spanish address ?
I've got last year's form (2016), but can't seem to marry it up with the new one

I didn't save last years as I don't have a digi sig or cl@ve, so I just have a copy of the form on paper.
