Tarifa Luz Endesa?
When I logged on to Endesa today to check my bills I was presented with a pop-up window promoting an offer for Tarifa Luz Endesa which seems to be offering a 5% discount for registering for on-line billing ( which I already have done). I clicked on "see conditions" and then on "Condiciones Particulares de la Tarifa Luz Endesa + SRU" which brought up a pdf document in Spanish where it gives details for a Tarifa 2.0A. As I don't fully understand what it says I don't want to just sign up for it and then maybe find out that it is not what I thought.
Has anyone else come across this and is able to explain what it means?
Many Thanks

Re: Tarifa Luz Endesa?
Tarifa 2.0A is the standard tariff that most people are on.
What tariff are you on?
You can find it on one of your bills, top right hand corner above your name and address, Tariffa de acceso.
Cheers

Re: Tarifa Luz Endesa?
Many thanks for your reply Gerry
According to my last bill I am on Tarifa 2.0A with a potencia of 4,6kW and I was charged at 0,13869 EUR/KWH for the units used and 0,063115 EUR/KW Y DIA for 61 days.
The info for the offer says that Termino de Potencia is 2,970789 €/kW mes (which I think works out to 0.09766978 per day) and Termino de Energia is 0,124985 €/kWh.
I can see that the rate per kWh is slightly less but it looks as if the charge for Potencia is significantly more.
If my understanding is correct then I would be paying significantly more.
Am I understanding this correctly?

Yes you do seem to be understanding it correctly.
Could be a better deal IF you used lots of electricity.

That's great Gerry. Many Thanks for your help.
Re: Tarifa Luz Endesa?
I am on Tarifa 2.1A and being ignorant of the various tariffs wonder if anyone can enlighten me as to the difference between 2.0A and mine. Thanks.
Re: Tarifa Luz Endesa?
Tarifa 2.0A is for power up to 10KW,
Tarifa 2.1A is for power 10 to 15 KW.

Thanks for prompt reply Gerryh , The problem I have is not knowing if I am on the right Tarifa . for instant my bill is approx 230 euros every 2 months - this being 2 people in 2 bed Apartment. Mind you my other half does like her appliances !!!gerryh wrote:Tarifa 2.0A is for power up to 10KW,

Re: Tarifa Luz Endesa?
What is your Potencia contratada, contracted power supply, top right hand corner on your bill?
10-15 KW does seem a bit high, particularly as it is undoubtedly a 3 phase supply, for a 2 bed apartment.
The higher the Potencia contratada, the higher the Termino de potencia, equivalent of a standing charge.
Cheers

Re: Tarifa Luz Endesa?
I still receive e-mails from Endesa Their latest offer is buy insurance from Linea Directa and get €100 off your electric bill. Didn't read the small print though.
Re: Tarifa Luz Endesa?
Hi gerryh, my Potencia contratada is 13.15 kw

Re: Tarifa Luz Endesa?
If you have more than 10kw it requires a 3 phase supply and also you are not entitled to the"cheap" government controlled TUR tariff. The costs oh the "free market" tariff are much higher than the TUR tariff but you can get better deals if you shop around. Shopping around on the TUR tariff is pointless as they are all pretty much the same.Basti wrote:Hi gerryh, my Potencia contratada is 13.15 kw

Have you by any chance got electric underfloor heating?

Yes I do have underfloor heating - to be honest I find it too expensive to run !El Cid wrote:If you have more than 10kw it requires a 3 phase supply and also you are not entitled to the"cheap" government controlled TUR tariff. Re: Tarifa Luz Endesa?
As Sid says, shop around for a better deal.
You could dispense with the underfloor heating, get the 3 phase supply replaced by a single phase supply, and get a cheaper tarrif but it would, probably, cost you more in the conversion than you would save in the next few years.

Re: Tarifa Luz Endesa?
The electric charges are being redistributed anyway, They are loading up the standing charges , as from August1st, & reducing the kw/charge. Just had my bill in & the contracted power rose 62% & the charge per kwhr, reduced by 12.5%. Even after the price rise of some 3% on October 1st, I'm still saving money.
Mind you I suppose it is more than covered by the 2nd & 3rd homeowners who will have to pay more; which is the idea.

Re: Tarifa Luz Endesa?
Also have a look at the 2.1HDA tarrif.
This is a split tarrif, it is cheaper overnight and dearer during the day.
Night time is 23:00 to 13:00 in summer and 22:00 to 12:00 in winter.
If you use most of your power overnight then your bill will be lower.
Cheers

Re: Tarifa Luz Endesa?
The DHA tariff is really well suited for UF heating.
Ours switches on for 3 hours at 4am and when we get up, having checked the inside and outside temperatures and the weather forecast we can decide if we want to turn it on again. The off peak tariff is on until midday so there is plenty of time left to make that decision.
Because the whole floor heats up and retains the heat for some time it is rather like a large storage radiator.
