Coin - A357 link road.
Unbelievably...this morning the site is a hive of activity. Looks like they might be going to finish it...at last!

That is good news and about time too! Maybe the hospital will be next on the list! Unbelievable that they can spend so much money on such Capital Projects only to leave them partly unfinished for so long.

They put the electric into the Hospital about a month ago and it's been lit up like a christmas tree every night since...what a silly waste of resources. Why do they do it?

Reminds me of the 'Yes Minister' episode about a hospital with hundreds of staff but no patients.
Let's go Brandon!

Re: Coin - A357 link road.
This was in "Typically Spanish" yesterday
"Work will start in January on an access road and the hospital can’t open until it is completed, according to the Junta. Once operational it will serve a catchment area of 110,000 inhabitants and fulfils a promise made ten years ago.
20 million € has been invested and during construction many problems have arisen including with the electricity supply where Cártama Town Hall must pay 40% of the new cabling cost. The Town Hall had budgeted some 400,000 € as their contribution to the hospital but that sum has now reached double that, as it seems nobody noticed the budget for road had not been included.
The Hospital of the Guadalhorce Valley, as it will be called, is right in the centre of a Socialist bastion, and it has not gone unnoticed the hospital will open right before the municipal elections."

Re: Coin - A357 link road.
A local little bird told me that the hospital isn't actually connected to a sewage system yet ' cause they are waiting for the " Guadalhorce Sewage Scheme" to come to fruition so they can connect to that; otherwise it will all have to go into the river!!!
Ask your local councillor about that...he he!
