Do you think that these gadgets are to blame for all the mush in pretentious restaurants. :) The ones where mushy peas are described as pea mousse, a kind of sorbet as a froth that looks suspiciously like snot or potato that appears in danger of running off the plate. Not to mention fancy three colour striped co..tails

Yep, it goes in cycles Katy. We had 5 years of making a skidmark with the back of a spoon across the plate with a bit of thick sauce, for some reason every TV chef though it cool, and the hoards followed.

Last year it was "3 ways", ie pork 3 ways, or Chicken 3 ways.

This year it "Pulled", whether it be pork or lamb.....as though its somehow new. :?

In all honesty I think the Nutribullet is a cool blender and better than most more expensive blenders we had, however the juicing thing is just a simple way to get the recommended dosage of fruit/veg down you.

As a salad dodger I'd far rather take a crispy deep fried salt and pepper rib than an apple, and the thought of eating a Cale leaf would be unthinkable...........however for the last week (since this thread) we've battered it, and honestly feel better for it. Just fresher, pure white eye surrounds and loads more energy, even though I was not exactly a slouch before. Yep I'm converted and not ashamed to say it.

I would like a "shoot out" with Sids Breville though

I'm sure we can arrange that. :D

To be fair, I never compared it to the Nutribullet. It was just an example of a high tech kitchen product. It is better than my expensive Kenwood processor but I have no idea how it would compare when making a sludgie. It does make a pretty mean garlic/ginger paste but I wouldn't risk drinking that but it's great for putting in a curry.

It's a case of horses for courses but I prefer a more versatile device.
