Recruiting in malaga?
Hello all. Would anyone habe any clue where to recruit staff in malaga?
we have tried infojobs, facebook, word of mouth (friends of employees etc).
Anyone know how to put an advert with the junta? I would rather employ someone who 'needs' the job, you know, help out a family?

Go to the local employment office and ask if you can put your offer in through them ... not sure exactly how to go about it, but anyone who is currently umemployed, to continue their status as such, has to "sign on" at the Empleo, and are supposed to do targeted searches online, either at the office where computers are available for use, or at home via their own personalised link. You may be able to do something via the website, but I think a local direct approach may be better.
From the employer's point of view

What the job-seeker sees - they have their own longin when they sign on as unemployed ...

Re: Recruiting in malaga?
Peter.. Its a serious post. We have posted adverts to no avail. I really dont believe that the people that we require dont exist.
We just took on a 60 year old spanish man that speaks better english than some english 20 somethings that have been in the office.

Re: Recruiting in malaga?
Wasn’t doubting the veracity of the post, just that it seemed a good way to advertise the vacancy on a non-advert forum

Re: Recruiting in malaga?
The original post gave the details, making it an advert IMHO. Now it is an honest enquiry about how he can recruit staff.Pamela1 wrote:Recruiting what position...That might help.

Well i read it again and again...help out a family was the only clue..wash the car or clean the house..could be anything...whatever it is he is only asking for advice on where to look for someone so no harm done.

In case anyones interested.. I had a couple of guys walk into the office while i was there the other day. One was from caracas in venezuela, and was a qualied IT / music tech, the other was an english teacher. Both spoke better english than me and had university degrees in languages.
Over qualified for this position but it goes to show - people need to pay the rent !

Up this way, It's very typical to employ over qualified people. A high percentage go to university with nowhere near enough relevant jobs to accommodate everyone.
No problem for engineers, nurses and doctors because of shortages elsewhere in Europe but students getting degrees in pharmacy, business and law have real problems finding work in their chosen field

Re: Recruiting in malaga?
Mark, i'm really surprised about pharmacy jobs given that there is one pharmacy after another even in the smallest of towns and it seems even a packet of aspirins are not available except over the counter in Pharmacies. There are many jobs available in Uk pharmacies yet there are many more Pharmacies in Spain..
