Car Hire Urgently Needed In Velez Malaga area

My car has just gone kaput and so I urgently need a car hire until I sort out a replacement.
Can anyone recommend a good hire car company in the Velez Malaga area ?

i think your best option get bus/train to Malaga Airport and hire there where you will get a car this time of year for less than €50 pw without the optional extras for insurance.
As far as i know the max rent is 30 days and then return car and start again, just go to the car booking site Malaga Airport....

That's a good idea, only where I live in the campo it's difficult to get to Malaga using public transport.
Are there any Spanish companies or sites that offer the car hire excess insurance, (which I have had previously from UK companies while being on holiday in Spain). They normally charged a faction of what the car hire firms charged for the extra insurance.

I am in a similar situation, having to hire a car for 4 weeks whilst mine is repaired following an accident.
I hired a car from RecordGo, a Citroen Berlingo, 260 euros for 4 weeks including their full insurance package. I looked at the other insurance option with a third party insurance company, which was 47 euros for 30 days. However, with these you still have to lodge the excess with the car hire company and claim it back in the event of any damage.
You will need to get to the airport, is there a bus from Comares, or a taxi ?

I think you will pay more renting away from the airport as less competition. There is an English guy renting cheaper older cars in Benajarafe but i guess if you can get to him you can get to Malaga. The only thing he may deliver to you.

Thanks everyone, I ended up getting a car from Dannycars In Torre del Mar. Bit more expensive than the airport car hires, but it was easier for me to get to and full insurance with no excess was included, plus wife can also drive car. So pretty pleased.
