Burberry suit

Postby wollie » Wed Mar 27, 2019 6:21 pm

I was looking at one of these last week when in Spain, i am now sorry i did not buy as i have a big event happening later this year, it needed alteration as too long and needed taken-in an inch or two.
I am curious as to whether these items are more or less expensive in Spain? it was €720. I am out of my league with this.
Just wonder if anyone here knows.

Many thanks....

Its a lot of money for a suit that you are going to have to alter considerably. You can buy a real nice suit for £250. The rest is just for the name.
Asda do a business suit for £79.

€720 sounds low for Burberry, shirts are over £500! Maybe an old model. Gun wharf Quays in Portsmouth sells last seasons designer gear cheap. Can't see them being less expensive in Spain. Most Burberry suits are styled for a young man now.
I once bought OH an Ives St Laurent lightweight jacket from a charity shop in Marbella €5. Classic style.

Nice one  if on the phone it decides for me, I should have checked. Will never let me have Juncker with a capita J

Yes, tends to be weddings and funerals. Dad died when he was 53 and I can only think of him in a suit, usually a tie too. Costs money to look casual now.

Just a thought, remember when Doctors all wore Saville Row type suits? One of the younger Doctors at our Health centre doesn't wear shoes. We had a family reunion some years ago, a guy at the hotel arrived with his family by helicopter. Saw him a few times playing on the beach and croquet, he was wearing a jacket and tie and shorts. Perhaps it was Rees-Mogg ha ha.
