How have unleaded petrol prices been effected over the past two years.
Reason for asking we are returning to Spain after two years.
Thanks

Just over one Euro per litre. Approx 20% rise over 2 years.

£1 a litre

Postby amheuwr » Tue Sep 06, 2005 8:42 am

Just received our local newspaper on Anglesey North Wales and a garage is selling one litre of unleaded petrol for £1.04. Not a bad thing if the planet wants to live. We've forgotten what it is to walk or ride a bike somewhere. :(

I think you may have misread the signs.

Diesel is around 95-98 cents a litre. Petrol, 98 octane is about 1.20.

There are two grades of diesel on the market, one is obviously more expensive, could this be the one you’ve seen?

I use diesel and I have only ever seen the "cheap" one - Gasoleo A.

Repsol has started to help with supplying gas for cars that run on propane, but the outlets are few and far between still, and the cost of conversion is quite high. Still - it is probably worth it in the long run, depending on the value of your car and the mileage you do.

Just had a look at a BP filling station today.

Ultimate diesel €1.019. More power, better efficiency, burns cleaner, less pollution, blah blah blah.
Diesel plus €0.987. Been around for ages, gets you from A to B.

I wasn’t aware of the price of the Ultimate diesel till today, but its still not €1.20.

The Spanish goverment provide a web site to show fuel prices. You can use this to find the cheapest garage in your area !
For example, in Marbella area the best price for Diesel Gasoleo A is 0.973 today at a number of city garages. In El Puerto de Santa Maria's MAKRO pump it's only 0.907

Count your pennies and the € will look after itself.
