On the British Consulate web site it states that a 25% discount is applied to autonomos over the age of 50.
This question relates to a lady age 51 whose gestor said he knows nothing about any discount but also says she will not get any pension if she retires at 60 as she needs to pay 14 years contributions.
If indeed the Gestor is correct, why should she pay the same as everyone else but not get the pension entitlement?

Tough but true!
It's the same in the UK - you pay your contributions even if you will not qualify for a pension.
However if you have earned a pension in another country, then the 15 year rule does not apply. You get a pension from the various countries that you have worked in.
A friend of mine is getting a percentage of his pension paid by the Spanish even though he only worked in Spain for 5 years. He also get a contribution from the Italians and the Swiss.
