I am so sorry for you and your friends Waterlily.
However, just to put things into a different perspective, my father was being treated for Irritable Bowel Syndrome for years in UK and it wasn´t until he moved to Spain/Mallorca that it was diagnosed as - by then - terminal Ca Bowel.
My thoughts and condolences (sorry if that is spelt wrong) are with you all.
