There is the cancer charity CUDECA I think they may have a shop in Alhaurin. If you look in the Town Crier there are often requests for volunteers. Many opportunities are on the coast eg. Driving people to hospital, age concern. Some you will need decent Spanish such as and AIDS hospice or translating at you local health centre or police station.

theres a cudeca shop in coin too - next to the underground carpark.
