Minimum charge for electricity by Sevillana?

Postby campo babe » Mon Jul 31, 2006 9:08 am

We are considering a move back to the UK for six months in the winter. Can anyone tell me if Sevillana impose a minimum charge on their bills if not much electricity is used?
One of our neighbours was told that the electricity for their well had been charged at 20 euros a month for several years as the meter had not been working and this was the minimum charge.

Hi, don't know if it helps, but when we are not in Spain we pay €8.50ish per punt every two months. Can't remember the exact amount without finding the bills. :)

There is a min charge which..how much will depend on your contract.

There is no charge for minimum consumption. If you don't use any electricity you don't pay for any.

As Silver says, there is a standing charge which is calculated according to the amount of power you are contracted for. Mine, for example, for 5.26kWh is €16,06 for two months plus tax and IVA.

Thank you for the information. I think our charges are based on 3.3 kw so I will be able to work it out.
