Does anyone know if there is a spice or paste called harissa, if yes where can it be bought and the Spanish name for same?

It's quite common as it is a Moroccan spice mix.
It comes as a powder or paste, the paste in jars or tubes.
Most decent hypermarkets should stock it along with Ras al Hanout which is another common Moroccan spice mix.

I doubt if you will find it in Mercadona but they sell all the ingredients and it's easy to make. Just mash up some dried chili peppers (guindillas), ground cumin (comino molido), garlic, salt and olive oil in a pestle & mortar till you get a paste, and keep it in a jar in the fridge.
Beware, treat it with caution and don't rub your eyes after handling the chilis!
