Old animal bones, skin and other bits, I believe. Probably better not to think about it/

Re: Sugar free jelly
It's got nothing to do with whether Unicorn is a vegetarian,a vegan or for that matter, a Venusian.Manchesteral wrote:Nimrod wrote:How am i supposed to know that?Manchesteral wrote:Is Unicorn a veggy ?

It was mentioned that gelatin is made from all sorts of animal snot and i was just pointing out that there is an alternative.
Nothing complicated about it.

Re: Sugar free jelly
The results of the experiment are in.
I bought the sugar free jelly from Mercadona. It is in little pots and in in the chill cabinet, and just under a euro for 6. They do not have the sachets to make up at home.
Anyway, they have been tested and I have to report that they are not as nice as the UK ones, have a bit of a tinny taste.
My conclusion is that, on balance, I prefer the UK ones that you make up, but in an absolute sugar-free jelly emergency they can be a susbstitute.
My neighbour works at El Cortes Ingles so I am going to get her to check if they have them in the food store at Puerto banus, which is massive.
