Morcilla

What the hell do they do with the "black pudding" here "Morcilla" I have three times now asked for "morcilla fuerte" in the local food hall, and on returning home discovered that it is so sweet as to be uneatable (on a full english) bleeding liberty !!

If you want something more like English Black Pudding try some from Burgos or Ronda. Much drier and firmer than the others and they fry well as slices.

I don't know where you live but i know an english butcher based between Estepona and San Pedro who gets Barnsley black pudding. I know his shop is in Urbanisation Buenavista.

Last time I tried some award winning Barnsley black pudding it was nowhere near as good as a good Morcilla. Dry and comparatively tasteless.

I don-t disagree with you Cid. Give me a good morcilla every-time. However, I offered an alternative to those who prefer the dry stuff ;P
