There that has done it. You have roused Benidorm from his Christmas convivial coma. He will be having nightmares now about the little green blighters. Our Mercadona had them the other day.

Parsnips. Harder to find inland

Talking of sprouts, Benidorm might like to see our Grand daughter's letter to Santa.

With Christmas looming I knew that I would have to be very wary as gangs of delinquent SPROUTS would be gathering on many street corners and this year I'm trying my best to avoid any contact with the horrible green monsters....
And last night I did have a terrible nightmare, the World had been taken over by SPROUTS, everywhere had become green, 20 Shades of Sprout Green..
And everything I read has some reference to SPROUTS, even on this thread I'm being persecuted with stories about sprouts, and even young children have been brainwashed into loving SPROUTS....

SO..May I take this opportunity to wish Everyone a Sprout Free and Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year....

All the Best,
Gordon ( Chairman of the Free the World from Sprouts Campaign )
ps...I'm now off to my bunker to wait until after Christmas and will only emerge wearing my gas mask when I'm sure that there is not a SPROUT insight. :D

See what you have done. That poor man has had to retire to his sealed bunker, how will Danta deliver his presents now?

I know you can get therapy in the UK fo SPROUT aversion on the NHS but is there anything similar here?

There was a food program on TV last night and the were talking about sprouts with a UK sprout farmer. Apparently the bitterness has now been bred out of the sprout and about 90% of all sprouts now are the new variety.

I never used to like them but I was experimenting with different ways of cooking them yesterday for the Xmas dinner and I have to admit I really liked them! Something has obviously changed - for the better.

Finely slice then sauté gently with garlic, salt and pepper. Yum!

Or parboil them for 2 minutes , drain them, and toss them in with the rest of the vegetables that you are roasting. V tasty.
