New Spanish / German school in Otura

Postby tim&bina » Thu Sep 30, 2010 10:15 am

I've been told that a new bilingual school (Spanish/German) is being set up in Otura (Granada province) but can't find any reference to this on the internet. Wondered if anyone out there knows about this?
Any info at all would be gratefully appreciated
Thanks

Is this a state or private school, primary or secondary education?

Hi Avellana - I assume it's private & covers primary education, but not really sure as can't find anything out there about it.

Just curious, why would an English speaking poster ask about a German school, I mean wy not ask this question on a German website ?? no doubt there will be an immediate and logical response !!

I've had a good look on the net and haven't come up with any school in Granada province which is bilingual German/Spanish.
Sorry.

Hi Retro P & Avellana
Reason is I'm English with a German wife & two young bi-lingual children who are currently at a German school in the UK (bit complicated). We have a house near Otura & at some stage would like to move permanently. We heard that this school is opening from a local woman, but have not been able to find any collaborative info on the net. If you know of a decent German forum, please let us know. I don't actually speak German & my wife tells me that the German forums aren't anything like as helpful as andalusia.com - so thought it worth a shout. Thanks for having a look - next time we're over (in a few weeks) we'll do a physical search.

Eventually found out about the school. It's actually an international school thats currently being built in Otura (Spanish / English) catering to all age ranges. If anyones interested, the web address is http://www.colegioig.com. Having had a look, I'm hoping that the standard of English is better than that used on the website.

So it's a bilingual Spanish/English school.
I'm not impressed by the level of English shown either!

This sounds good though... Dining hall with males prepared on-site. Where do I sign up?
