Home Schooling

Are you allowed to home school in Andalucia?.
Our local school says the children have to go to school by law, but many of the Spanish children in our village do not?

yes they do, have to go to school, by law, is my understanding.
There is no home schooling facility.

School hasnt started yet.
How old are the children. Obligatory Education doesnt start till 6 yrs old, and ends at 16.

The schools can and frequently do impose sanctions fro bad behaviour etc... " excluding " the child for up to a week at a time.

Under Article 27 Section 1 of the Spanish Constitution homeschooling in Spain is legal. This association exists to help parents who wish to homeschool:

If you feel you can improve on the schools education, why not teach him/her in the afternoon, this way you will be able to judge the school standard and your child will make friends and not feel odd.

A lot of her Spanish friends say they are not going back to school, they have left!!They are 15 yrs old next year. She is worried she will have to make new school friends, she has other friends that attend different schools.
