Hi
Looking at options for cover and searching for various quotes. I'm aware of people like Sanitas and Mapfre but has anyone used Prevision Medica?
Who do you use, how much a month and how do you find them?
Thanks

Re: Health Cover
My wife and I use Provision Medica.
€163 a month for both of us.
the younger you are the cheaper it is. I am 71 and my wife 69.
If you are with them before you a re 70 then there isn't an increasable, other than inflation, when you turn 70.
I believe some companies have a large price rise when you turn 70.
Use them fairly often without problems.
Cheers

Re: Health Cover
We have used Prevision Medica for just over 6 years, and can't fault them. Our premiums started out at €83 per month for the two of us, and for 2015 we're paying €115 per month (for a couple aged 58 and 65), so that gives you some idea of how the premiums increase over time. They have always been very quick to authorise any tests or hospital treatment required (you get vouchers with your policy which you use for the initial consultation with a doctor or specialist, and if any further treatment or tests are needed the doctor writes a "prescription" which you scan and email to the insurance company, and they email it back with their authorisation stamp on it). Then you make the appointment for whatever is needed and just hand over the authorisation on arrival.
I believe if you take out your policy through a broker there is a small charge for these vouchers, but we arranged our cover direct via their website and the vouchers have always been sent to us free of charge. You get 10 vouchers initially with your policy and I think 10 each year are included in the premiums. We never use that many in a year anyway.
