Mammogram results?
Mammogram results?
Does anyone know how long on average it takes to get your mammogram results in the post after the bi-yearly testing done by the mobile unit? Thanks.

Don't know about yours, but the missus has hers at the clinic in Mijas (not sure why because we don't live anywhere near there) and she's always been told she will only hear from them if there's a problem. Thing is, how long do you wait before you're confident you're not going to hear from them?

The appointment letter states that they'll mail you with results whether good bad or indifferent. I just know two years ago didn't receive any at all and two years before that took about a month. Just wondered anybody else's experience?

Senior management didn't get the results this last time (done in Nerja) but the GP got them for her when asked.

My first mammogram the results took ages to arrive- but I was told if there was a problem they would telephone me. My second mammogram the results arrived within a month- again I was told any problems and they would telephone me.

Funnily enough, my missus just received a letter telling her all clear for the first time ever, so I shall amend my original answer to say, about five weeks for us.
