Authentic Tapas Bar

Postby Kathy » Fri Aug 15, 2008 12:55 pm

Ive posted this in " living in Andalucia" However maybe its better here?

I´m looking for a really beautiful authentic Tapas bars with hanging hams etc.
Something that looks like its from a movie set and would make a really good painting.

Any recommendations?

La Mariposa in Antequera would suit. There are 2, one is in La Veronica shopping centre and the other (more hams hanging) is on the industrial estate by the BP garage.
I used to be indecisive but now I´m not so sure.

Just remembered, Granvinos by the steps at the top of San Miguel street in Torremolinos is a beautiful bar, nice tapas too.

Not really a tapas bar, more a fully fledged restaurant, but still brimming with character - Los Morenos on the road to Alhaurin / Coin from Mijas (opposite the Viva sales office !)

Great food too !

Cheers,
Chris

Bar Sardinia, San Sebastian, Alhaurin el Grande. Olde wordly bar, owned by same family since 1917. Great Tapas selection and normal meals if required.

There are many around Baza with hanging serrano hams or baza hams, they are bars mainly but authentic. Also Seron, they cure the hams at a factory in Seron.
