El Cid - coming from the Velez Malaga direction along the A356 cross the dam then take the first turn on your left towards Los Romanes. Climb for about 3 kilometers and the restaurant is just below the village on the left hand side.

Julie - coming from Almeria along the A7 coastal Motorway come off at exit 272 (Velez Malaga) - you will see the large El Ingenio shopping mall on your left. At the bottom of the slip road turn right onto the A356 and it is a straight run of 15 minutes to the lake. There is a lovely drive around the lake and local villages that takes about an hour - can send you details and photos if interested.
