Sexy Beast was a year 2000 film with Ben Kingsley and Ray Winstone. It is very funny - and UK made.

I only know of all these films cos I rent a lot of DVDs.

I knew that, I was only teasing.

Sexy Beast. Brilliant scene at the start when the big rock crashes down into the pool. And that Ben Kingsley. Personification of evil and menace.

Ray W is just about my favourite actor.

Sexy Beast was filmed on location at Agua Amarga in the Cabo de Gata, Almeria ... and not a plastic greenhouse in site :D

Filmed in Mojacar & Bédar - Las Flores del Vicio or El Cielo se cae in Spain, Bloodbath (USA) or The Sky is Falling (UK) made in 1979 starring Richard Todd

and don't forget all those spaghetti westerns filmed in the Tabernas desert.

Of course the films of Sergio Leone were shot in The Tabernas desert, like A fistful of dollars, For a few dollars more, The good, the bad and the ugly, etc...
But a lot of Hollywood films were made in Almería and in Spain. For example Lawrence of Arabia, Conan the Barbarian, Indiana Jones and the last crusade, a little part of the Episode II of Star Wars is in the Spain Square in Sevilla, Cleopatra, Patton, 2001 a Space odyssey, Doctor Zhivago.
Kingdom of Heaven from Ridley Scott used the Reales Alcázares de Sevilla to ambient Jerusalem. The most of the movies with muslims buildings were shot in Sevilla or la Alhambra de Granada. And El Puente d San Luis Rey in M´laga with Robert de Niro in the zone of the cathedral.

Of course it counts. Remembered the title of the Glenda Jackson film, shot around Guadalmina golf Hotel and on the N340.

The Glenda Jackson/George Segal film was called 'A Touch of Class'. She won the Best Actress Oscar that year.
There were also scenes filmed in Mijas (I had a walkout role as a Spanish waiter at El Padastro). I was also there for the scenes in Malaga airport.
When it came out in Malaga we hired a bus and everyone went down to see it and hooted every time one of the locals appeared in the background.
My only claim to fame for all my years in Spain! :P
