Last year we had a good thread going about forthcoming concerts and gigs so I thought I'd kick this year's off by mentioning the Córdoba Guitar Festival in July. Mark Knopfler and Deep Purple appearing, amongst others!

Got the Mark Knopfler tickets already! The program is quite early for here - usually they don't appear til very close to the event.

I was going to add a link to last year's post as most of the websites will be the same, but can't work out how to do it. Can someone give instructions please?

Had a look at the cordoba festival and there are some great acts appearing. There's a good chance we will go and see at least Mark Knopfler. Just need to get organised.

Saw Johnny Winter last year, or maybe it was the year before at a small pub in Southampton. He could barely walk and was almost lifted onto the stage. He played the whole gig sitting down, but man could he still perform magic on his guitar. Amazing. What pi***es me of is that if an old ablino who can barely move can play a guitart that well why do I with still pretty nimble fingers find it so goddam hard

Thanks Enrique. That's the link. Casita Bonita - you'd better hurry up for Mark Knopfler tickets - 35 euros were sold out over a week ago, so there's only 55 euros left. Much cheaper than when he was in Granada last year - I think it was about 85 euros

Some years back Mark came to Ronnie scotts in Brum. In such a small venue he was magic. Chatted to the crowd. Really nice man.

When he worked in Leeds, he used to go into the bar in the Astoria (old fashioned dance hall) in Roundhay and play for anyone in there. Unfortunately, you never knew when he would be there, so we never saw him, but I would have loved to have seen it

Saw BB King many years ago at the Colston Hall, hillybilly.
In fact saw lots of bands and artists there from late 60s to sometime in the 90s.
