Genalguacil Arts Festival

Just to remind you that the village of Genalguacil (nr Gaucin) will be celebrating it's bi annual arts festival 'Encuentros de arte Genalguacil' from 1st - 15th August 2010. During this period, various artists from around the world have been invited to stay in the village and are provided with material for the projects they wish to undertake. Upon completion, the works are shown throughout the village and the village arts museum. There are functions every night ( open air shows, music, fireworks etc) plenty of bars and places to eat. The festival has been going for a good number of years and many works of art are placed in open display positions throughout the village(ceramics, sculptures, wood carvings, glass and brass, paintings) it's a beautiful village and well worth a day or two day visit. If you decide to go, enjoy!
