Rio Gordo Country Festival

Postby Campo Steve » Wed Sep 26, 2012 8:38 pm

If looking for something to do this Sunday, can I point you towards the Rio Gordo Country Festival. One of the financial beneficiaries will be Axarquia Animal Rescue who reall need the funds. P.s. we have just adopted a dog through them.

Details available here:http://tinyurl.com/bo7gu94

It isn't all about animals. Looks like a collection of model aircraft and Harley Davidsons will be there (I'm looking forward to that) and a hog roast.

I haven't been before so can't vouch for how good it will be but Axarquia Animal Rescue could certainly do with any help.

Although we need the rain I hope it stays dry for this event. Wouldn't want to see the Harley's getting wet!
I've got an inferiority complex, but it's not a very good one!

If you see a couple with two dogs, one called Fifi, I'll be the one that will look as though his new dog had a different name.

Sorry to say the bad weather has caused the postponement of this event. New date to be confirmed but possibly October 14th. Shame, means I might miss it due to other commitments that day.

And October 14th would have it clashing with the Sewing & Handicrafts show at the La Palma garden centre just off the Vélez-Málaga by-pass...or maybe anyone coming from the Autovia could call at La Palma on the way up to Riogordo?

Oct 14th has been confirmed as the new date. Posters say it starts at 1600hrs. I believe that is when the live music starts. Gates open at noon. Plenty of time to get there after visiting Las Palmas.
