There was an interview I saw a couple of weeks ago with Mark Lawson talking to Mark Knopfler (BBC4?). I was amazed to hear Mark Knopfler say he didn't think he was a very good guitarist!

We saw him in Cordoba a couple of years ago and he was brilliant. We're already booked for Malaga

We have paid 91 euros for 2, bought direct from his website. I assume they are similar from the agencies

"I was amazed to hear Mark Knopfler say he didn't think he was a very good guitarist!"

He certainly is a better guitarist than he is a singer !

I have always being a fan but think the guitar comment was "toung in cheek"
what did surprise me is a programme on bbc about his music and his life was that none of the band members from dire straights were in the programme.
i watch most of these and even when there was differences in bands usually they were involved.

The 'Mark Lawson Talks to...' series are generally (but not always) one-on-one interviews, this time it was Mark Knopfler, not Dire Staits.
