Bristol to Marbella

Postby Rosie01 » Wed Jun 20, 2007 4:42 pm

Hola

You will I expect see my name pop up quite regularly over the next couple of months.

I will be moving to Marbella area in 3 months. I did want to transport over some furniture from Bristol. However, I guess it will cost me so much that it won't be worth it?

Bristol to Marbella

Hi Rosie
Welcome to the forum :)
I used Cotswold Carriers in Chipping Norton to move 4 pieces of furniture, about 10 pictures and 4 large plastic boxes - not a lot, but the charge was very reasonable: certainly less than hiring a van and driving it over. http://www.cotswoldcarriers.co.uk/
Good luck with the move

Welcome - I moved here from Bristol too!
You could try DCS, based in Bridgwater, 955913719. They often run a small (LWB Transit type) van over with full/part loads and are fully insured.

What does PM mean.

When someone says reasonable for a cost is that hundreds or thousands of pounds/euros???

We've furnished two houses shipping everything out from Cheltenham using Medcoast removals, based in Mid Glamorgan and Malaga. They were recommended by one of the people we brought a house from and, like them, we couldn't recommend them highly enough. Everything delivered and absolutely no damage. They charge per square metre and are really accommodating on pick up/delivery dates and times. Their phone number in UK is 01656 746666.

Not being picky but I think you'll find thats per cubic metre. it will make a difference when estimating the amount you have :P

Hi there,

You can also try http://www.britannia-movers.co.uk, they've got a depot in Bristol and also one in Mijas Costa, 20 kms from Marbella.
If you've heard it in a Bar, it's probably 50% true.
