Info about Montefrio....?

Postby Zofia » Sat Jul 07, 2007 10:41 pm

We are buying a house near Montefrio.I know there was a thread about it a while back but that kind of descended into a racism argument, without much info in it! I know there are a lot of Brits, but can anyone tell me what it is like for shopping, schools, restaurants, kids' activities etc?

Thanks.

When you first log on to this site there are a set of essays you can read. Many of those concern Montefrio.
anyway, anyway, love from me.

Hi Zofia
Looked at buying in Montefrio region but as someone said ´montefrio´means cold mountain and apparently it does get cold there winter time, colder than Battersea.

It gets pretty cold in Loja in the winter too, so that doesn't worry us. I like seasons, and love cold, crisp winter days and frost.

We're heading to our new home situated just north of Tocon next month. It may be cold there during the winter but at least it's not as miserable as it is here in the Welsh Valleys - or maybe it is?

How far out of Tocon, I live north of Tocon. Just off the main road to Montefrio.

Hi - We'll be moving to a house that is on a track running from Tocon to Montefrio to the east of the main road - approximately 5 km north of Tocon at a guess, 6km south of the Montefrio - Illora Road.

Hope to be arriving, lock, stock and kitchen sink on or around the 25th October.
