After several years of thinking about it,have decided to make the move to Andalucia.
Looking for a smallish ,predominately Spanish town ,within 2 hours of Malaga airport ,for commuting reasons.
Will be bringing a 4 year old and a wife .
Planning a visit next week, but any first hand experience of any of the following towns/villages would be very helpful.
Aguilar ,Puente Genil ,Rute ,Baena ,Luque ,Lucena ,Benameji ,Priego de Cordoba.
Will be taking an 11 month rental at first ,so any info/advice on letting would also be very gratefully received.
thanx
Mick

Hick Mick..........In my books anyone who refers to their wife in this way does not deserve a reply. Probably most forum members thought likewisemiguelsan wrote: .......... Will be bringing a 4 year old and a wife .

Are you packing her into a hold case or bringing her as hand luggage

I was hoping to get away from the PC brigade who have already ruined this country.
i was hoping the cancer hadnt spread to rural Spain !

Thanks for the thank you Miguelsan it's a bit of a rarity to get that on here.
If you and your wife don't speak spanish then my advice would be not to go too rural. Your idea to rent and test out the area first is good.
I agree with Mary B about the anarchic spanish and perhaps if the UK citizens were a bit more like them we wouldn't be so walked over.
