hey everyone,
looking at some properties in iznajar? Looking to open a bed and breakfast? Any thoughts?
Much of an expat scene? (more for the wife, im a Spanish teacher) Potential for off season bookings?
Thanks in advance, any advice would be really appreciated!

I've been to the area during May and it was pretty quiet, it is a lovely area.

I live in Iznájar...I would suggest you speak to both Lesley Minto of Sunset Country Properties (lives in the village and also has a BnB) as well as Miguel Angél Escamilla Aguilera of APD Properties...both agents live here and have fantastic local knowledge. They'll be able to give you any idea of feasibility ....does get bloody cold here in winter...and very quiet...

Re: Thoughts on Iznajar?
I lived in this area for 15 years, the potential for off-season bookings is extremely slim, in fact expats with rentals are finding bookings this year by Brits down this summer (possibly do to Brexit issue). Off season it is quite cold and normally wet (we did have -8°C one year), we look after two holiday rentals in the campo and close up shop between October and May.
Estate agents may be knowledgeable but they'll tell you anything to make a sale.
