I've just moved to a tiny house. However, it's already cold and I'm looking for portable heaters.
Can anyone recommend an energy efficient portable heaters for my room? am not sure if there's such a thing (as energy efficient)
The room is approximately 400 sq ft, and I don't have a huge budget, something below $100 will be fine with me
Any advice will be appreciated

Re: Energy Efficient Heater
All electric heaters are of similar effeciency, no matter what the advertising might say.
Some are better at heating up a space fast - eg a fan heater.
Others just sit there silently, provide background warmth, but can't do the above - eg panel heaters.
Running costs will not be cheap.
For cheapness of running, and low purchase cost, you could consider a mobile (wheelabout) gas heater. For your size of room, it will easily cope. Ensure some ventilation, though.

We use the electric type that heat the oil up inside them. They are brilliant and kick out lots of heat. Not very expensive to run in my opinion. Never had any horror electric bills. All big electrical stores sell them but go for a descent make like Bosch or similar.

Perhaps shannon should take the time to tell us why someone who says they are in Atlanta is using an internet connection in Kenya.

Seems like all space heaters are energy efficient. What matters is how the heat is distributed and probably the sound the heater produces. So, what the the difference between oil-filled and infrared heaters. Which is the most efficient heater?

Since the OP has not explained why her location is shown as Atlanta and she is posting from Kenya I am closing the thread and closing her account.
