Planning permision

Postby JAKE M » Sun Feb 20, 2011 1:00 pm

Is planning permision required for all structures? In the uk a 70 cubic metre structure/extension is allowed without planning permision. Is there an "up to" size in Spain where no permision is needed?. I know that a licencia de obra is required to f*rt so it's purely on the planning aspect I seek your infinite wisdom.
Haven't been on here for a while hope you're all doing ok.
Thanks

In your dreams here

Yes if its small enough not to show up on the satellite photo (less than 1sq.m)

70 cubic metres is not a large extension. 70 square metres maybe, but not cubic.

The point of the post was if I were to have an internal staircase built to access a roof terrace, there would have to be a small building built on the terrace with a door from where I would step out onto the terrace. I imagine about 2 metres high x 2m deep x 3m wide.
So, do we think planning permision is required? and are architects drawings needed for this size of structure?

remember you will be going up another floor, another storey, which may be against height rules in your area, if it´s in spain you will need plans, permission and licence.

I imagine to go up another storey in the uk you would need permission and licence, no?

You almost certainly require permission.

It may well be classed as an "Obra Menor" in which case architects plans may not be required.

It always depends on the local planning department.

You cannot expect a definitive answer from a forum like this - you must go to the town hall to ask,
