Pool Experts - Pizarra/Alora

Postby probe » Sun Jun 24, 2012 3:24 pm

We've sprung a leak somewhere in our pool - we think it must be the pipes as its bringing air into the system and the level isn't getting any lower than just below the skimmers.

Can anyone recommend a pool expert that would be able to sort this out ASAP?

Cheers

Could it have been something like the following?
Evaporation has caused the level of water to drop below the skimmer level and air is getting drawn into the skimmers? Solution - keep the water level topped up....

Because of the dry winter we were aware that there had been lots of ground shifts and we had a number of new cracks around our land. As a consequence we were expecting the worst and a major dig to repair fractured pipes.

Murbisa gave me a fantastic tip and a chap came and looked and eventually worked out that the seal had gone on the multiport valve and so whenever the pump was on there was a leak to waste. Once this was replaced we were all back to normal. In fact, we now have a tap on the waste pipe that we only switch on when neceessary so that we don't go through the pain of so much water loss again.

So the loss of water was not caused by evaporation but the rest was correct. Glad to hear you prob was solved and was not a major crisis (burst pipes).
