water pressure

Postby bawnbue1 » Thu Oct 06, 2016 10:31 am

we have quite low water pressure in our house is there any way we could get a pump push it around a bit better as it takes an age for the up stairs shower to get hot and seems a waste of good water any ideas

thanks

You have already partly answered your own question.
I have a deposito that gets slowly filled from the mains and then the water is pumped from the deposito.
Provided I don't completely empty the deposito there is time for to slowly top itself up before I need to pump water out of it again.
Cheers

You can install a water pump to increase your pressure, but won't you still be wasting the same amount of water waiting for the hot water to arrive at your upstairs shower ... it will just run faster?

We run off the initial water into a bucket (which half fills it) and then water the plants with ours, and that is just coming around the house to the shower from the hot water tank in the next room.
