Sandblasting.

Postby Lyric » Thu Apr 19, 2018 7:08 pm

I have a couple of BBQ components, a grill and a plancha, which have seen better days being rusty and caked in burnt on fat in places. I am wanting them sandblasted back to original cast finish so I can re-season them for further use.
Does the collective have any knowledge of a suitable provider, ideally Nerja to Velez but further not a problem.

I would suggest Artesanos Relojeros.

I fail to see how a craftsman watchmaker is going to assist with a BBQ. Thanks anyway.

...although they might be able to lend a hand
Maybe the post was just a wind-up.
No, no, stop this . . .

Seriously, though: you could try local yellow pages, or, in Nerja, there's the Castillio Alto Ind.Est. (bordering Lidl), which is full of metal-workers and craftsmen. You could ask there.

You may be right. We have had a lot of trolls from far away places recently. Easy to check from their IP addresses.

I shall be watching our "Texan" friend very carefully. Admin are supposed to weed out the obvious ones during the registration process but it doesnt always happen!

In the interim I have found that a strong Caustic Soda solution works. Some article on Barbecues from The Colonies put me on to it.
