Usually it says how much it will cover on the paint container.

Re: Painting
Most cans/buckets of paint have a coverage figure on them (m2 per litre), but this figure varies enormously between different types of paint. Best to take a look in the shop and doing the calculation before buying. The manufacturer's website will have this info too.

Also depends on the porosity of the surface!

Hello Evelyn,
The advice previously offered is good and I would add that it's false economy to buy cheap paint, and before you use make sure that you stir it well and continue to stir when using, if it is emulsion type paint you can keep adding a little water with most brands, it should state this on the pot.
I've learned ( the hard way), to buy more than my estimated requirements, and then when I've finished I drain the left-overs into glass jar-jars and label accordingly, handy for touching in marks etc., and it seems to last better in airtight glass jars.
Have Fun...
Regards,
Gordon

Re: Painting
I would check the manufacturer's website. They will include the amount of paint per surface area.

Re: Painting
please dont buy cheap paint. any white paint under about 30 euros is pointless and you would be better off painting the wall with milk..

Re: Painting
You can check the amount of paint per surface area on the company's official site. Go for good quality paint and hire experienced contractors. You can check the internet to find about their services.
