Don't throw them out yet....I think they can be quite slow at germinating...just try and keep them warm and maybe try wrapping them in carrier bags or putting a sheet of newspaper over them, it worked for me :D

Awwww no :(

I'm sure there's still time to grow them if you can be bothered!! Try the link further back this thread from EL Cid for an online seed place in the UK. I ordered some from them and they arrived very quickly....excellent service :D

these arnt your ordinary run of the mill chilli seeds-these are SPECIAL ones...maybe they take extra extra long to grow as they are extra extra hot!
i will try and be patient-tho i fear i may have to have a dig about in the pot and see if i can see anything happening.

Black flies are often a symptom of over wet compost. Seeds need to be moist not wet.
I've had my chilli plant for 2 and a half years and had chillies off it every year. As soon as I got it home after buying it I repotted it in a larger pot with slowrelease plant food.
Each spring I pot it on.
Hope this helps

I planted some tomatoes and chillis recently.

The toms appeared after 7 days and the first chillis appeared this morning after 2 weeks. They are in a closed clear plastic container at 20 degrees.

Princess, I think you sowed them too early and probably didn't have the temperature high enough - that just causes them to rot and die.

Don't rush your seeds - they will germinate better the later you leave them (as it is warmer)and they will only be a couple of weeks behind the early sowings as they will rapidly catch up.

As I said before, get some new seeds from www.thompson-morgan.com .

They have loads of varieties of chillies and it is certainly not too late to sow them.
