Around the World in 80 Gardens Tonight the Alhambra

Postby concorde » Sun Mar 09, 2008 5:34 pm

Tonight on BBC2 at 9pm U.K. time

Around the World in 80 Gardens

'Monty Don is journeying to the Med. where he investigates the influence of Moorish culture on the ancient Aguedal in Marrakesh and The Alhambra in Granada'

I'm not really a gardener but this has been a fantastic series about culture and history etc.

I agree completely concorde. It is a fascinating insight into how gardens can be interpretation of a nation's culture and development. Unmissable :!: :D

it says tonights repeat is Australia but I would check, I'm sure the Alhambra one will be on , if not tonight next week.

I thought the Tivoli Gardens were amazing!

Pay attention Rick. I only wished I had a Euro for all the TV programmes I have missed because I either got the date, time or channel wrong, or just forgot it was on.

Oh silly me

This was the year I finally got it all together!

Trouble is, I forgot where I put it.

I saw the aussie one. We used to live in Mosman, Sydney where that angular garden was.

Will look out for the Alhambra repeats.
