First Wasp Sting of the Year

Postby ajtg1952 » Tue May 13, 2014 12:14 pm

I think those who don't like wasps are going to in for a pretty miserable summer. The dry winter has not reduced the numbers this year.

I got stung today, granted while removing a nest, so I can't complain. It's usually much later in the season before I get my first sting.

I have removed about 12 nests this year already, much more than I would normally have to remove at this time of the year. Under the roof tiles is the worst area.

My son can beat that - he got stung about a week ago - there was a small nest on one of the pool cover seals....
