Need to know tree name
Hi everyone,
Can you tell me how to upload a photo from my ipad to show you all a tree? I've posted it on FB and some have said it looks like a custard apple tree and another couple said they think it's a magnolia.
I've googled both the above and it's nothing like a magnolia but is similar to custard apple....
Thank you

Use http://postimage.org/ and insert the link it creates into the Img tag when you post your reply.

Thanks Gerry, I'm hopeless with technology!
Re: Need to know tree name
I have just tried Gerry's link to download a photo on the La Herradura thread in Travel&Tourism section and it seems to work OK. Much easier than using Photobucket (which I used to use) and you don't have to register and set up an account so ideal for adding a quick photo.
In the opening page just click on 'browse' and find the photo in your computer files - click to 'open' and then 'upload' on the website it will start to upload it to the site. Once the picture appears there is a choice of links below - I just copied (right click and 'copy') the 'thumbnail for forum 1' link on the left side of the page and then pasted into the posting on here .... which seems to work as you can see below and only takes a minute.

Re: Need to know tree name
Thanks Wicksey you just saved me typing in the instructions.
I would suggest selecting a resize of 640x480 as it gives a better size image for message boards such as this one.
You also need to click on the FAMILY safe button unless you are posting more interesting photos.

Have a look at http://postimage.org/mod.php
It can be incorporated into A.com to make uploading images even easier.

Re: Need to know tree name
I assume it just adds it to your A.com page not the main forum.
I downloaded it, but got a pretty useless zip file. I will stick to the basic upload/paste link option.

Re: Need to know tree name
If you unzip the zip file I believe it gives instructions, for the forum owners/ administrators to include the code necessary to include a link to uploading photos via Postimage.
But, as you rightly say, it is an easy site to use.

Re: Need to know tree name
Weheyyyy can't believe how simple that was!!
Re: Need to know tree name
You are nearly there. If you posted the link into the Img tag, by clicking on Img and pasting the link, then the photo would have shown as part of the message.
