OK so this is not really about gardening but - I had reason to look up the Spanish word for blackcurrant and came up with grosella negra. I'm pretty sure either a) it' the wrong word or b) this part of Spain have never heard of blackcurrants.
I wonder if any gardeners have come across this word or indeed grown blackcurrants.
ps The reason for looking up the word was that some visitors wanted blackcurrant cordial in their Guinness at my local bar , sacrilege in my eyes of course.
