Indian Bean Trees

Postby Mariacristina » Thu Jul 06, 2017 6:08 pm

Despite having a very small garden I have grown quite a few trees from seeds . . . and then have to persuade friends and neighbours to adopt them. About six years ago I acquired (for which read "stole") a seed pod from an Indian Bean Tree. I now have a magnificent tree in my garden which is over three metres high . . . and that is after I pruned about a metre off it in the winter. It has produced beans for the first time this year. I am told that both beans and leaves are edible. Are they? . . . and how are they prepared for eating?
