According to Bauhaus and their horticultrual department,

lettuce - march, tomatoes - march, peppers - feb, courgette - april, beans - feb.
Alhaurin el Grande since 99, working at the airport since 2011.

I always plant most of my veg at this time of the year....with possible exceptions of Tomatoes and Peppers, though I am going to try planting them at this time of the year too. I find that planting veg in the Spring is not a good idea, as then they have to face the very hot weather in the Summer. You will find that Viveros sell most of their small veg. plants now.

my thanks to s-l and gerrynag for your responses/info ... in retrospect, I realised my question was a pretty dumb one ... the obvious thing for me to do was to go to my local vivero and see what they were selling ... hence I have planted some tomatoes and peppers to date ...
