Hi patricia,
Sounds like you have a deal......... :D
If you would like it to look like Win7 .....put Teamviewer on and I'll set it up using Classic Shell.
All my best learning experiences start with a problem I need to solve.

Well I really cannot believe it. Having been told that my "new" computer would arrive between the 16th and 23rd of October. It has just arrived now! and I only ordered it on Friday  Have not opened the box yet.................................! So watch this space :P

There may be cries of help any minute. Glad though it has arrived as my laptop is beginning to give up the ghost. I have to keep resetting the time on it each morning and then it would say cannot find system :problem:

It sounds like you need the small internal battery replacing, probably cost five euros.

Thanks for that. I didnt know it had a small internal battery. The large one went years ago and so I have to have it plugged it.

Can I open it myself wherever the small battery is!

Anyway I am up and running. Lovely to have the large screen and sit comfortably at the desk :D

Yes, it is a simple process. The batteries I have changed in the past have be CR2032. You will need to see the battery type that is already there.

Here is a YouTube video showing how it is done. https://goo.gl/6XaJt7

This video will be a different computer to yours. You could try looking for a YouTube video for your model or even Google it, search your computer model and CMOS battery. Very simple to do, the time is taken up taking the case off and putting it back on!

Once you turn the computer on again you will need to set the date and time one more time.

I will do that. Thank you very much for letting me know. It is an old model, but I do like it and I take it to the UK with me when I go
