Praise for Telefonica

Postby katy » Mon Nov 19, 2007 5:27 pm

I know they have lots of complaints but this is the second good experience I have had.

called 1002 at 1.30pm. Technician rang at 2.15pm and asked the problem. Arrived about 2.50 pm. Problem fixed and also he gave me his mobile number and name incase there is a next time, said it is quicker than going through the central no. He was very dishy too, may put him on my xmas party list

Katy,
I've also had good service from telefonica, I had broadband delivered and installed within a week, and when I have queried accounts etc., they have usually dealt with it quickly..I think that there is a lot of 'pot luck' with the service that you get anywhere nowadays....I recently had broadband installed in my new UK 'crash pad', it took 3 weeks and the exchange is only 2 minutes away.... :(

Yes, my Son lives in the netherlands and it took 3 weeks to sort out a broadband problem. They also told him he needed to buy a new modem and it wasn't that at all.

I've got good things to say about Telefonica too in terms of speed of service and helpful technicians.

When the line went dead (Sunday), we had someone out the following morning and it was fixed straightaway by a very pleasant guy.

My router for internet access was delivered 3 or 4 days after ordering it - and every time I had a problem someone was out the same evening or the following day. It has to be said the routers were not good - so after the third one I ended up with a different type.

My only gripe about Telefonica (apart from the cost naturally) is the conflicting stories that different staff tell you on the sales line in English, and the staff who don't want to struggle listening to less-than-perfect Spanish, so promptly put you through to the sales team even though they can't help.

Anyway, most times, the technical team is ok and good at talking through any issues over the phone. And as I said the guys who have come out have been great.

With The Netherlands being one of the top countries with private internet usage I am very surprised. I would suggest that it could be time to change provider. I would give you the name of my sons company in NL, specialising in IT communications but
a. it would be seen as advertising  and
b. he only deals with companies not private individuals.

Well the guy that came around to install my line not only nearly fell off the roof and split a plastic covering we have for the rain, but drilled a hole into my roof and told me to fix it.

I have now complained to Telefonica, lets see what they do.

Placed my order for phone line and ADSL yesterday... The house has a line already, I wonder how long it will take.

The e-mail says 10 to 20 working days... does that make it xmas day?

Well... here we are in Spain... and online!

Less than a week from order to being on line.

Excellent service...

The little man even gave me his mobile number to call if I had any problems... I did! called him, he was back with 20 mins and had it all sorted within a few mins...

Great service all round.

We notified Telefonica that we were moving address on the 25 October, we have now been given a provisional date of 10 December for them to install the line. It has moved several times.

We have two small children and no telephone, and I have no confidence in them sorting it by Christmas.

No praise in our house hold for telefonica!!!

They do however keep mentioning that they endevour to solve the problem within 25 days!!! But that no use when they keep moving the deadlines back!!!!
