How do you access Google? I have a drop down list of search engines from which I can choose UK, USA or Spanish Google together with Yahoo and several other lesser know search engines.
If you have a down arrow next to a Google icon by the search box click on it and see if you get the drop down list.
Failing that just type 'Google UK' into the search box.

while on the subject of computers and languages - has anyone any idea how to get the itunes music store in English when downloaded in Spain. My computer is fine because I set it up in the UK but OH has to put up with the spanish version.

Re: google turned spanish
If you purchase iTunes music with a Spanish credit card it automatically reverts to the Spanish Store. You can still search and buy most of the music that´s listed on the UK site through the Spanish Store.
Re: google turned spanish
So if I buy something with an english credit card will it change to english?? I think the only way to alter it is to take the computer back to the UK and reinstall itunes over there.

Re: google turned spanish
At the very bottom of the iTunes Store page there is a box for you to select which Country you want. If you want the UK select it from the drop down menu. You definitely don´t need to take your PC back to the UK to reinstall iTunes!!
I´m guessing that if you use a UK credit card you´ll be able to get your purchase from the UK Store. If I enter my Spanish card details in the UK site I´m automatically transferred to the Spanish site. In any case, I always use my Spanish card because, iTunes is priced differently in each country and the same music is cheaper in Spain than in the UK.

Oh Masterob you are so clever! Do you know I don't think I had ever scrolled down that far. We are now back in English on both computers at last.
I have never thought to use my spanish card, interesting that it is cheaper. Will have a go next time.
Thanks for the tip.
next job is change all my passwords. My ebay account got hacked and then a vacation notice got put on my hotmail account and was being sent out to all my contacts every 4 days. It seems however much security you have they still get in there.
