I have never been able to receive an MMS message on my mobile phone. Whenever my daughters send me pictures I get a message telling me there is a picture but download never works.
I had that problem with an old Nokia basic phone. I have now bought a Samsung smartphone (Galaxy Y Duos) and it is the same problem.
The SIM is with Movistar on PAYG. I am wondering if their PAYG doesn't support MMS or will I have to contact Movistar to activate it.
Any suggestions as to what I could do to enable me to receive MMS messages (short of going onto a contracr which I don't want to do).

Receiving MMS message
I've got an inferiority complex, but it's not a very good one!
Re: Receiving MMS message
I would guess that you PAYG package gives you voice and SMS message access only.
To download pictures that are attached to MMS messages you need a data package as well.

Re: Receiving MMS message
Try contacting Movistar. It is possible to receive MMS without a data package, but the phone co must 'throw the correct switch'.
