Let's hope you will be so fluent in Spanish that you will appreciate quite how poor Spanish TV really is.

In the meantime maybe you should be less judgmental over how people choose to spend their time. If they want to watch UK television then so be it. End of!
I appreciate just how poor English television is so can't understand all the drama

I'll tell you where I am on this. I'm out

Good. Please stay out of this discussion if that is your opinion.

There are a very large number of Expats who would disagree with you and to whom UK TV is something they enjoy watching.

Thank you for your input.

Not too sure if this will work in your area - as the Irish versions are currently on Astra 2As north beam...which may not be available in your area.

and a different satellite to the main BBC channels.

Its only a temporary channel, and anyway in most EU countries the Games are available FTA anyway - so only BBC commentary will be an issue.

Maybe is a filmon server issue, or too many people in your area all using the net for tv via internet.

just found liveintertv.com. It uses filmon but seems to run much better for me. also you can have a my channel section so easier to change channels.
My spelling is Wobbly. It's good spelling but it Wobbles, and the letters get in the wrong places.

Maybe this topic should be renamed: "does anyone actually have a TV signal?"

Have just tried Freeintertv.com, but picture quality is really poor (less good than FilmOn SD, even), even on an iPad mini! Site looks like it could be Russian driven, so I think I'll give it a miss...

Wouldn't be someone with an interest in internet tv boxes would it?

(do you have a link for it - pm me with it if you want to!)

Its been available for many years - so it is not a new thing.
But yes, with every channel on the satellites they could move to a different satellites, maybe one with better reception, maybe one with worse reception. Who knows for sure? The killjoy will not, that is for sure...

Am I right in saying that the footprint for Astra 2E covers Southern Spain and with a dish of 1.3 metres and some adjustment we should be able to pick up the channels as normal, at the moment I am only receiving Sky News.

I have two systems, one fixed with 1.3 and the other motorised with 1.1 which picked up BBC and ITV previously without any problem.

Can anyone confirm what I am saying about the footprint or am I reading it wrongly?

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks John.

You will have no problem with the Sky channels, but the BBC, ITV, C4 and C5 cannot be received since the changeover.

2E has more than one beam. The one BBC etc have moved onto is much tighter on the UK. Southern Spain is way outwith the footprint of that beam I'm afraid.
